An n8n agency or an AI development company?
A platform name does not define delivery responsibility. Establish what the supplier builds around the workflow and who operates it after launch.

Choosing between an n8n agency and an AI development company depends on the complete task: integrations, rules, exceptions and how employees use the result. These supplier categories can overlap. A custom software team may use n8n, and an n8n specialist may build a system that includes AI.
The n8n documentation describes AI capabilities, including agents, and separate error workflows. It should not be treated as a tool limited to simple rules. See AI features and error handling.
Start with a case that needs completion
Suppose a document arrives by email, is read and checked, then passed to an ERP. Some files are unreadable and some contain an incorrect supplier identifier. An employee needs to inspect the problem and provide the correct data. This is an illustrative scope for a proposal.
The technical workflow should cover both success and exceptions. If staff need a new review interface, ask who delivers it. Using n8n does not establish that the interface is included in the price.

Deciding on a delivery approach
If the task fits the agreed connections and employees can handle exceptions in existing tools, a platform specialist may offer a suitable scope. New roles, an interface or custom logic need to be priced as well. Ask each supplier who owns those components.
Use the implementation brief for pricing, including tools, hosting, models and maintenance. A visual platform alone does not establish that one supplier will cost less.
