Marketing automation: examples of small rollouts
Short answer
Start marketing automation with one repeatable task: a list of materials to update after a price change, returning a text without a source to its author, or a campaign report from several exports. Publishing and judging content stay with people. At Syntalith the automation costs from €3,000 net, and with 200 materials to check a month at 15 minutes each it pays back in 2.5 months.

Marketing automation example: a price change lands on a list of materials
The offer changes in one place, and the old amount stays in an article, a presentation and a scheduled email. After an approved price change, a small automation creates a list of the related materials with the owner of each. The condition is a catalogue of links: the service identifier, the address of the material, the owner and the date it was checked. In the first version the catalogue can be kept by hand, and AI helps later to find paraphrases of the offer in texts.
The second automation concerns the brief: a field for the source of the price and the document that confirms a client result, if the text mentions one. When the field is empty, the material goes back to the author with the reason. The third collects approved campaign exports into one table and stops a file without a currency for clarification.
| Acceptance test | Expected result |
|---|---|
| A changed service price | a list of related materials, with nothing published automatically |
| A claim about a client result with no evidence | returned to the author with the reason |
| The source concerns another service | the editor rejects the basis |
| An export without a currency | the cost stays out of the total until clarified |
| The same export again | no doubled data |
- Every exception has an owner
- A pasted link does not prove that the source confirms the sentence
- A price in an unambiguous field needs no model
- Updating a published text waits for a person
What small marketing automations cost and when they pay back
- Today
- 200 materials to check × 15 min = 50 h (€1,745)
- With the system, a person checks the output in 30% of the time
- €524
- Model, 1 call per case, Claude Sonnet 5.5
- €3
- Cost of one case
- €8.73 today, €2.64 with the system
- Saving
- €1,218 a month
Payback of €3,000
2.5 months
The volume, the time and the checking share are the scenario's assumptions. €34.90 an hour is the EU average hourly labour cost for 2025 according to Eurostat. Model: 5,000 input tokens and 500 output tokens per call at Anthropic's rates, converted at the ECB rate of 1.1205 USD per euro on 22 October 2026.
The count covers the work around each case: searching, reading, writing and handing over. What remains is the time to check the result, 30% of today's work in the scenario. Before the quote we measure both times on 20 to 100 cases the team has already handled, in a free test that takes 5 working days.
Does this help AI answers about your company
A current offer and verifiable sources help keep reliable information on your website. Google states that the same basic rules as in search apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. The workflows described support the editors, and they neither measure citations nor guarantee that the brand is recommended. According to a study in Science (2023), ChatGPT cut the time spent on writing tasks by 40%, and in marketing most of the time goes into keeping the offer and the sources current.

Where to start
Each of the three examples can start on its own, with one type of material. We build this kind of system as part of our AI automations. For the free process review, a description of one case from the last few weeks and the tools it went through is enough. You do not need to send confidential documents, and you receive a written plan within 2 working days.

€2,094
a month for preparing 30 campaign reports
Payback: 1.7 mo.
2 hours to collect the data and prepare a campaign report and checking in 15% of the old time are our assumptions. €34.90 an hour is the EU average hourly labour cost for 2025 according to Eurostat, for companies with 10 or more employees. Model cost: checking the commentary in our reporting system (about €0.0002) plus compiling the data (Claude Sonnet 5.5, about 30,000 + 2,000 tokens), at the ECB rate of 1.1205 USD per euro on 22 October 2026.
