Grants for AI implementation: what is open today
At the national level, there is currently no open call for grants for the implementation of ready-made AI solutions in a small or medium-sized company. Training and consulting programs, a PARP loan for large investments and free services of EDIH centers are open. Below is each program with status, amount, condition that screens out most often, and source.

Automation competences for digital transformation
PARP, FERS program · operators in 6 macroregions
Recruitment in rounds from September 2026 to December 2028.
- For what?
- Training, mentoring and coaching in process automation and AI. Additionally, consulting: diagnosis of the company's readiness, selection of processes for automation and implementation plan.
- How much
- Up to 83% of costs. Up to PLN 16,185 per person, PLN 81,000 for a micro and small company, PLN 162,000 for a medium-sized company.
- The condition that most often screens out
- SMEs only. The service must be in the Development Services Database. De minimis aid, own contribution of at least 17% of the gross value of the service.

National Training Fund 2026
District labor office
Each employment office announces recruitment on its own date.
- For what?
- Postgraduate courses and studies. Priority 3 for 2026 explicitly mentions digital and AI skills when implementing new technologies and work tools in the company.
- How much
- Up to 90% of costs in a company employing up to 9 people, up to 70% in a larger company. At most 200% of the average salary per participant.
- The condition that most often screens out
- From 2026, the training must be conducted by an entity from the Development Services Database. With priority 3, the company demonstrates that it is implementing new technologies or processes. You maintain the participant's employment for at least 3 months after the training.

European Digital Innovation Centers (EDIH)
8 centers in Poland · financing of FENG and the Digital Europe program by PARP
The centers operate and serve companies from all over the country.
- For what?
- Digital maturity analysis, transformation map, solution tests before purchase, training and assistance in preparing documentation for grant programs.
- How much
- Free for SMEs, as part of de minimis aid.
- The condition that most often screens out
- The first step of every service is a digital maturity analysis. The value of the service counts towards the de minimis aid limit.
Investments and R&D projects

Loan for digital and green transformation
PARP, FENG program · by financing partners
PARP launched the program on September 24, 2026 and announced that companies will be able to apply to financing partners within a month.
- For what?
- Investments in digitalization, including AI-based solutions, ERP systems, system integration and robotization.
- How much
- From PLN 2.5 to PLN 15 million, interest rate 0.5% per annum, period up to 15 years. With digital transformation, redemption of up to 5% of capital.
- The condition that most often screens out
- The lowest loan is PLN 2.5 million, so the program is suitable for large investments. This is refundable financing.

SMART path: R&D projects for SMEs (recruitment FENG.01.01-IP.02-003/26)
PARP, FENG program
Applications from October 29 to December 29, 2026.
- For what?
- Research and development projects that result in a new product or process at at least national level.
- How much
- From 60% to 80% of the costs, maximum PLN 50 million in aid. Recruitment budget: PLN 500 million.
- The condition that most often screens out
- The project must include R&D work worth at least PLN 3 million. The purchase and implementation of a ready-made AI tool are not a research and development project.

PARP, FENG program
According to the FENG schedule, the next recruitment for SMEs will last from January 21 to March 16, 2027.

- Implementation of the results of research and development work that the company has already carried out.
- How much
- The recruitment budget has not been announced yet.
- The condition that most often screens out
- It concerns the results of own R&D works. Implementing an off-the-shelf AI solution does not qualify.

KPO: investments in the digitization of enterprises
National Reconstruction Plan
Recruitment for companies is over. There will be no new ones.
- For what?
- Subsidies for robotization and digitization of enterprises.
- How much
- Not applicable.
- The condition that most often screens out
- Check the offer of AI implementation with a subsidy from the KPO carefully: ask for the recruitment number and regulations.
Tax breaks

R&D relief (Article 18d of the CIT Act, Article 26e of the PIT Act)

Valid without recruitment.
- For what?
- Additional deduction of the costs of own research and development works, including the remuneration of the people who conduct them.
- How much
- 200% of the remuneration costs of persons conducting R&D work and 100% of other eligible costs.

- The Act considers an external service an eligible cost when it is provided by a university or research institute. Purchasing the implementation from a company usually does not qualify. Confirm this with your tax advisor.

Relief for robotization (Article 38eb of the CIT Act, Article 52jb of the PIT Act)
Settlement in the tax return
It covers costs until the end of the tax year starting in 2026. The government has published a project to extend the relief for 10 years from 2027.

- Additional deduction for the purchase of industrial robots and related equipment, software and training.
- How much
- 50% of eligible costs.
- The condition that most often screens out
- An industrial robot is needed. AI software alone without a robot does not qualify.

What does this mean for your company
Three situations and the most reasonable first step

You want to train your team with AI
Check the operator of the "Automation Competences" program in your macroregion and the KFS recruitment at the district labor office. In both cases, you choose training from the Development Services Database. Syntalith training courses are not currently registered in the Bureau of Public Procurement, so you will not be able to finance them from these programs.

You want to automate a process or implement an AI agent
There is no subsidy for a project of this size today. You can reduce the risk differently: free process analysis, free test of the first process on 20-100 cases that your team has already handled, in 5 business days and a fixed price in the contract, payable in two installments. The second installment comes after collection.

Four questions for every subsidized offer

What is the recruitment number?
Each recruitment has a number and regulations on the institution's website, for example FENG.01.01-IP.02-003/26. Without the number there is nothing to check.

Is the recruitment open or does it have an announced date?
The "after subsidy" price makes sense when the regulations specify the deadline for submitting applications. An announcement without a date is a plan that cannot be settled yet.

Who pays if the application is rejected?
The subsidy is awarded by the institution after assessing the application. No one can guarantee it before a decision is made, so the contract should say what happens after a refusal.

Is the project viable without subsidies?
Calculate the cost of manual work and the price of implementation without funding. If the bill is negative, the subsidy only postpones the problem.

Are there subsidies for implementing AI in the company in 2026?
Today, at the national level, there is no open call for grants for the implementation of ready-made AI solutions in SMEs (as of October 14, 2026). AI training and consulting programs, a PARP loan for investments from PLN 2.5 million, free EDIH services and the SMART Path for research and development projects are available. Regional programs have their own schedules, so please also check the search engine at fundeuropee.gov.pl.Is it possible to get funding for AI training for employees?
Yes. The PARP program "Automation competences for digital transformation" reimburses up to 83% of the costs of automation and AI training for SMEs. The National Training Fund finances up to 90% of costs in companies with up to 9 people and up to 70% in larger ones. In both programs, the training must be included in the Development Services Database.Does KPO still finance AI implementations?
No. KPO recruitment for investments in the digitization of companies has ended and there will be no new ones. If someone offers AI implementation with a subsidy from KPO today, ask for the recruitment number and regulations.Can the implementation of AI be included in the R&D relief?
Usually not. The R&D relief applies to the company's own research and development work. The Act considers an external service an eligible cost when it is provided by a university or research institute.
