AI training for business presentations: from evidence to a decision
The slides are ready, yet the meeting ends with questions about the assumptions. The author has spent time on the deck, but the audience still does not know what it is being asked to decide. AI training for business presentations can address how to build an argument and prepare that discussion, from the initial question to evidence the audience can check.
Syntalith
Syntalith can prepare a team workshop around a presentation you produce regularly, such as a project proposal, account review, or case for a change. We discuss the meeting's purpose and the author's materials. The proposed program identifies the part of the argument to work on and how instructor feedback will help participants revise their attempts. Before commissioning it, you can discuss a sample passage and what its reader needs.
Establish the question the meeting needs to answer
The program begins with the author's purpose. Does the audience need to choose between alternatives, approve a limited trial, or understand a discrepancy? That determines the evidence, sequence, and level of detail. AI can suggest a structure, but it needs context about what readers already know and where their attention should go.
Practice covers selecting sources, comparing possible structures, and writing concise claims. Authors learn to distinguish a report's findings from their interpretation, preserve support for a claim, and decide what belongs in supporting material. The work can use approved ChatGPT Work or Claude Cowork access; we agree on the environment and files with the company. Automated slide production does not have to be part of the scope.
CIPD's guidance on learning needs starts with work requirements and existing capabilities. For this workshop, that makes the eventual reader's perspective useful during preparation.
A slide reaches its conclusion too soon
Suppose a team proposes testing a new service with one customer. Its material records interest but contains no order. The AI draft presents this as confirmed demand and recommends a wider launch. The instructor identifies where interpretation has replaced evidence. The author changes the claim to a proposal for a limited trial and explains what the team wants to learn. The reader can now consider the actual decision.
Further practice covers questions likely to arise in the meeting. The author prepares an answer from the material or identifies what information is still needed. They also practice shortening an explanation while retaining a condition that matters. Feedback addresses the relationship between the claim, its evidence, and the proposed action.
Different contributors need different practice
A specialist knows the source material and can explain the details. The presenter decides what belongs in the main account. A manager can identify a question the deck has previously left unanswered. We agree on their involvement around the specific presentation, leaving room for each author to work independently.
Presentation experience and AI familiarity are separate. Someone new to the tool may need practice supplying context; a regular user can compare structures and explain their choice. In an independent task, the audience changes, requiring a fresh decision about which information matters.
If the difficulty is entirely visual, a company template or a designer may be sufficient. A workshop is useful when authors need practice building an argument from their materials. Preparation, retained materials, and any later review of another presentation are specified in the proposal. Connecting company information systems requires a separate discussion.
Tell Syntalith about a presentation that left important questions unanswered. Start with the meeting's subject and its audience. We can discuss the work to practice and who should participate. See our pricing page for information about working together.
