Short answer

Competitor price monitoring for a wholesaler costs from €3,000 net. In our scenario it pays back in 2.1 months. Today, checking 3,000 competitor prices by hand costs €1,745 a month. With the system, the same work costs €286. The project never changes your prices automatically. The person responsible for the price list decides. The test on your process is free.

    7.7 mo. payback

  • Mid-sized wholesaler

    3,000 reads · €1,745 a month

    2.1 mo. payback

  • Large wholesaler

    0.8 mo. payback

We count the payback from the time saved. The process also brings margin from prices corrected in time: about €920 a month in this scenario (the assumptions are under “How we calculate it”). According to Eurostat (2025), 78% of EU internet users bought goods or services online.

How we calculate it

3,000 × 1 min = 50 h × €34.90 = €1,745 a month. With the system, a person checks the output in 15% of the old time (€262) and the model costs €24. That leaves €286. The saving is €1,459 a month, so €3,000 pays back in 2.1 months. The payback counts the time saved only. On top of it comes margin from prices corrected in time: about €920 a month in this scenario.

Assumptions: 1 minute to check one price and checking in 15% of the old time are our assumptions. €34.90 an hour is the EU average hourly labour cost for 2025 according to Eurostat, for companies with 10 or more employees. Model cost: Claude Sonnet 5.5, about 3,000 + 300 tokens per listing read, at the ECB rate of 1.1205 USD per euro on 22 October 2026. The price margin is a scenario: we assume that 1 in 300 reads leads to a price change that brings €92 of margin or saves a sale. In the review we count it on your product range.

Users from several countries write to foap.com, in several languages. The system reads the entire conversation and the terms of that person, and then sends a response in that person's language. Questions about money and exceptions go to the team with a ready draft, so they have to check and send them.

What this scope builds on

The system that watches listings on portals

For a property acquisition team we built an agent that watches OLX, Otodom, Gratka and Morizon and keeps more than 6,000 listings with their history. From a new listing to a ready contact takes 5 minutes, and an operator approves the contact.

“We started with my own AI agent. During the training that followed, I learned to build new applications myself. Today I am bringing this way of working with AI into my business. Working with Syntalith gave me exactly the skills and tools I needed.”

Included in the build

  • Regular reads of the chosen listings
  • Comparison of product, variant and purchase terms
  • Alerts on changes, with the history
  • A price report for decisions

What happens to your data

  • You choose the test cases. We anonymise them on request.
  • They stay in the EU and we delete them after the test.
  • We sign the NDA and the data processing agreement before we receive anything.

After acceptance you keep the code, the test set and the documentation. You pay for licences and model usage directly to the provider.

Questions

  • How much does competitor price monitoring cost?

From €3,000 net, paid once. After the 5-day test the build takes 2 to 6 weeks. You get a fixed price before the contract: 50% on signing and 50% after acceptance on your own products.

  • Does the system change our prices?

No. The system shows the change and its history, and the person responsible decides on the price list.

  • Where does the system get competitor prices?

From publicly available listings that you point to, in a way the site allows. Before we quote, we check what data can be read.

  • When does it not pay off?

Below 520 reads a month the payback takes more than a year. Then it is better to start with ChatGPT or Claude for the team, from €1,150 net.

  • What do we need to prepare?

A list of products and competitors to watch, your prices and thresholds, and the person who decides on price list changes today.
